The description of the book according to the Noel Streatfeild website reads: " Ballet Shoes tells the story of Pauline, Petrova and Posy Fossil, who were adopted as babies by Great Uncle Matthew (or "Gum"). If you are accustomed to the "i before e except after c" rule, it makes you positively itchy to spell her name right. Please note that every single person who voted for this title, all twelve of them, spelled author Noel Streatfeild’s last name correctly.
